Oceans-ESU Limited is an Environmental Consultancy, which specialises in the field of contaminated land remediation and the design, construction and management of reed bed technology to treat industrial, agricultural and domestic wastewater. The Company (Oceans-ESU Limited) recognises that all its activities can have an impact on the environment and that these impacts are both local and global. Impacts arise from the consumption of raw materials and energy, transport and emissions to air, land and water.

Protecting and enhancing the environment by preventing pollution is an integral component of the business operations and the Company is committed to this aim.

The Company has developed an Environmental Management System, to meet ISO 14001: 1996, and will through a programme of continual improvement, monitor and reduce its environmental impacts.

In particular the Company undertakes to:

  • Endeavour to comply with relevant legislation, codes of practice and other regulatory requirements
  • Conduct its activities in a manner that minimises, and where possible prevents, harmful releases to air, land and water
  • Eliminate or minimise the use of products which are proven to have a negative environmental impact
  • Minimise waste through recovery, re-use and recycling in preference to disposal
  • Reduce the consumption of energy
  • Strive for compliance with stated objectives and targets for improved environmental performance
  • Review the environmental performance of key suppliers and specialist contractors
  • Achieve continuous improvement in environmental performance through regular audits and management reviews
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of the potential environmental effects of their activities and the environmental benefits of improved performance through the relevant training and induction courses
  • Display the Policy within the Company, ensure that it is effectively communicated to all employees, ensure that it is publicly available and encourage feedback.
